Hi! I’m Alyssa- the disabled diva behind Stress Less Boujee More. I’m 21 years old, autistic, and chronically ill. I live in Hertfordshire, UK, and I run this little shop from my bedroom, with a dog by my side and a hot water bottle on my back. Very glamorous. Very CEO chic.
I was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) when I was about five. It’s a connective tissue disorder, which basically means my body said “freestyle” and just never stopped. I was basically dealt a shitty hand from the day I left the womb, with limbs that enjoyed flinging themselves out of sockets unprovoked. I also live with PoTS, Fibromyalgia, Bile Acid Malabsorption, Gastritis, Cervical Radiculopathy, and a few other plot twists that are still under investigation. I’ve had to learn how to build my life around it, instead of waiting to feel “well enough” to start.
This started as a little therapeutic hobby. My mum got me a crystal bracelet-making kit for Christmas because I asked for things that ‘kept my hands busy’, because I always say “If my hands are busy, then my mind is busy” (very helpful tip for those with overactive minds). And what can I say, I have a knack for creativity. So my mum was like “You could sell those.”- but honestly she says that about literally everything I make, so at first I was like bffr, but then as I made more, I was like oh, maybe I could. So, I started on Etsy in early 2024. And now I have a whole website. With my own domain. Who do I actually think I am.
The name ‘Stress Less Boujee More’ happened because I refused to call it something dead like “Alyssa’s Jewellery”. Where is the creativity in that? I saw “Stress Less” on a pack of affirmation cards I own, and my fascinating brain went feral. I took some inspo from the very famous quote for millennials and boomers alike (‘Keep calm, carry on’ you will never die), and decided it had to be “Stress Less *something* More”. And obviously that something was ‘Boujee’. I love the word boujee. I use it at a high compliment. Boujee is a mindset. The mindset where you’re the one who has it all, so much so that it’s simply an obvious fact. So, yes, I am literally telling you to stress less and boujee more. I wanted a name that stood out. You are not forgetting that in a hurry.
I’ve loved crystals since I was about 14. They’re beautiful and meaningful, obviously, but I also love that theyre made under pressure. Feels on brand. They reminded me that if the Earth can create something that pretty, maybe I could too.
Everything here is handmade by me. If you order something, I make it, pack it, and definitely triple-check it before sending it. It started as a hobby, and now it’s my job. Like I built this website not knowing a damn thing about building websites- of course I take it seriously. I’m learning as I go, but I am dedicated to the craft and stupidly ambitious.

Meet Nels – Chief Vibes Officer
This is Nelson, my one-eyed French Bulldog rescue and full-time emotional support goblin. He’s small, snorty and slightly dramatic. He supervises every order (from the comfort of a blanket), provides moral support when my beads go everywhere, and occasionally barks at nothing to keep me grounded. One eye, endless love. Put that on a t-shirt. Nelbels says hi.
How It’s Made
Every piece of jewellery is handmade from crystal beads, strung together with intention (and a bit of rage at the government (jk I actually whisper affirmations into the beads. I’ve got you. Only good vibes here.)). I work with 8mm crystal beads, and for the earrings, I make sure to use stainless steel earring hooks for those with sensitive ears (I feel you, girl).
